40GbE/56GbE Network Card

Add a crazy amount of bandwidth to your tiny cluster! These are Mellanox Connect X3 (MCX354A-FCBT) cards, ideal for making a CEPH storage cluster. 

Multiple machines can be clustered together and use their super fast network to distribute storage throughout the cluster.

In our cluster we achieve 2GB/s of VM storage speed, with a redundancy similar to RAID5!

With faster SSDs in the system and some network tuning, an even higher bandwidth can be achieved.

The 3D printed bracket will be standard with all orders, if purchased with a fan shroud, the appropriate bracket will be added!

56GbE is achievable with special Mellanox switches OR in a mesh with the appropriate cables.
